Sonia Sumaira is the founder of Sonia’s Henna Art. She is originally from Punjab - Pakistan currently lives in Toronto.
She is fluent in French, English, Urdu, Punjabi, and Hindi. Sonia finished her specialization in History & French from York University – Collège Universitaire Glendon. Her future goal is to do PhD in History.
History always interested Sonia and the Art of Henna being one of the most ancient Art form automatically intrigued her.
Sonia is a self-taught professional henna artist known for her traditional patterns and contemporary style of henna. She has established herself as one of the fastest henna artist in the GTA.
Sonia has been providing henna services throughout the Greater Toronto Area, Ottawa and Montreal.
Since 2012, she has traveled internationally to provide henna services for destination weddings throughout South and North America (USA, 'Dominican Republic'/Punta Cana, Mexico/ Cancun, Riviera Maya, Puerto Vallarta, Los Cabos ...)
Taught the Art and History of Henna at Branksome Hall 2018-2019 & George Brown College from 2014 until 2017
